Bob Townsend commenced his own Insurance Intermediary business in 1985 after having previously being the general manager of Australia’s largest multi agency.  

Although the business began with just one client, Bob’s involvement in motor sport brought about a culture of fierce competitiveness and meticulous attention to detail which saw the brokerage rapidly grow.  

Bob and his wife Janine (also an Insurance Broker) merged with an existing Austbroker Member.  They have since used their considerable management expertise to grow and develop the business into the successful and innovative organisation.  

Austbrokers Coast to Coast has a loyal client base. We specialise in SME business, petrochemicals, and developing niche products to provide benefits for franchise groups and parent companies. Our clients are serviced by a group of experienced, qualified and dedicated Insurance professionals. Solid administrative support and sound management practices ensure that the highest level of service is delivered to our client base.  

Austbrokers Coast to Coast has grown its business by making a number of acquisitions. Our company is now one of the largest on the Gold Coast with representation across the Gold and Tweed Coasts and Nerang as well as in Brisbane and Mackay.
